Community Practice / Public Scholarship
Trans Joy, community knowledge, and public scholarship.
Trans Joy is a community practice centered on amplifying trans joy, care, and community knowledge through media, public storytelling, advocacy, and free intergenerational events. This work is also public scholarship: it makes questions of vulnerability, legitimacy, voice, recognition, and alternative rhetorical spaces materially consequential.
Trans Joy
Trans Joy gathers media, storytelling, advocacy, care, and community knowledge around trans life beyond crisis-driven frames.
Care as knowledge and relation
This work is part of the research practice: visibility, care, media-making, advocacy, and community gathering become ways of producing and circulating knowledge.
